ARIZONA HOUSING COALITION COMMITTEES

We want you to get the most of your membership, and one of the best and most rewarding ways is by adding your voice to one of our open committees. These committees inform and work in conjunction with the Board of Directors in recommending policies which create lasting change, and bringing forth issues and ideas to help shape the Coalition's advocacy agenda, membership and community engagement, and conference and educational offerings to help strengthen our membership.

Get involved today by joining leaders statewide on any, or all, of our open committees! And be sure to sign up for our Advocacy Alerts and Event Announcements for all the latest.

BE A LEADER IN CREATING LASTING CHANGE

Legislative Advocacy Committee

Have a direct impact on legislation and policy which affects housing and homeless service provider agencies throughout Arizona, by serving as a valued member of our Legislative Advocacy Committee.

This committee also carries out advocacy duties such as meeting with local, state, and federal officials, planning rallies, marches, and constituent campaigns as necessary, and executing annual advocacy days at the state capitol, like our Meet Your Legislators Day for Housing & Homelessness Advocates coming up on Thursday, March 1st, 2018.

Help us advocate for systems-level changes in policy and law in order to prevent and end homelessness, and advocate for safe, affordable homes for all Arizonans.

Conference Planning Committee

We are proud to host the Annual Statewide Conference, which has been a sellout in recent years as the Ending Homelessness Conference. But with last year's organizational merger comes change in 2018. Namely in the combining of two annual conferences in order to create a first-of-its-kind, unique two-day conference experience.

We look forward to bringing together experts and leaders in best practices to prevent and end homelessness alongside affordable housing developers, community planners, and health care professionals, to learn about the latest in the intersection of health and housing, and the importance of creating healthy communities throughout Arizona.

Be a part of planning this highly-sought after learning and networking experience by helping us develop session topics and tracks, seek out local and national experts, and ensure a unique, worthwhile networking and learning experience for all.

Golf Tournament Planning Committee

It’s no accident that the game of golf and the business world have long gone hand in hand. Every year, we enjoy the mixing and mingling of our membership and supporters on the links, all enjoying a round golf, deliciously refreshing food and beverage, and networking with leaders in the affordable housing and homeless service industries.

Held in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Housing’s Annual Housing Forum, this annual golf event attracts approximately 150 housing and homeless service professionals and advocates annually. This year we look forward to enjoying the course at the Starr Pass Golf Club at the JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Tucson.

There’s never a dull moment in the planning — don’t miss out! Golf enthusiasts highly encouraged and welcome!
