As a member of the Arizona Housing Coalition, you want to get the most out of your membership. One of the best and most rewarding ways to maximize your membership is by joining one of our open committees and ad-hocs. The Coalition has five committees and two ad-hoc groups that recommend policies to the Board of Directors and ensure a diversity of opinions. They help shape the Coalition’s advocacy agenda, membership and community engagement, and educational offerings and help strengthen our membership.

We invite you to learn about the Coalition’s open committees and ad-hocs, and get involved!

Advocacy Committee

Weigh in on legislation that has an impact on housing and homeless service provider agencies, Coalition members, and our stakeholders, and help us advocate for systems-level changes in policy and law in order to create safe, affordable homes and an end to homelessness in Arizona. This committee also carries out advocacy duties such as meeting with local, state, and federal officials, planning rallies, marches, and constituent campaigns as necessary, and executing annual advocacy days at the state capitol.

Ad-Hoc: Annual Conferences Committee

The Coalition is proud to host two annual conferences, our spring healthy communities conference, in partnership with the Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities, and the fall ending homelessness conference, which just sold out for the second consecutive year. Be a part of the fun and action of planning these highly-sought after learning experiences by helping us develop session topics and tracks, seek out local and national experts, and ensure a unique, worthwhile networking and learning experience for all.

Ad-Hoc: Annual Golf Tournament Committee

It’s no accident that the game of golf and the business world have long gone hand in hand, and we so enjoy seeing the mixing and mingling of our membership and supporters on the links. Held in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Housing’s Annual Housing Forum, this annual golf event attracts approximately 100 housing and homeless service professionals and advocates annually. There’s never a dull moment in the planning for this event — don’t miss out! Golf enthusiasts highly encouraged and welcome!
