National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week - November 11th - 19th, 2017
In partnership with the National Coalition for the Homeless, the Arizona Housing Coalition annually observes National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week the week before Thanksgiving. This is a time for us all to start to think about what we are thankful for, a perfect time to share our compassion with our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness, and work toward a world where no one has to experience Hunger and Homelessness.Watch our Facebook page for more info about #NHHAW 2017 events
Homeless Persons' Memorial Day
Thursday, December 21st, 2017
Every year on December 21st, the vernal equinox -- the longest night of the year -- we remember our neighbors who have passed away on the streets. The National Coalition for the Homeless, the National Consumer Advisory Board and the National Health Care for the Homeless Council encourage communities to host public events remembering those lost. Please check back for more information, or consider organizing your own Memorial Day event -- download the official organizing manual to see how you can participate.
