10AM to 11:30AM - MEMBERS ONLY
Please join us as we host an initial conversation to solicit feedback to provide to the Arizona Department of Housing as they draft the 2020 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP). Help develop Arizona Housing Coalition's formal input on the allocation and use of Arizona's 2020 Low Income Housing Tax Credits. This is the first in a series of phone calls that will be held to receive our members' feedback to share with the AZ Department of Housing.
WHY IS MY INPUT IMPORTANT?
Low Income Housing Tax Credits are administered annually by the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) and are a major source of federal funding for the production of affordable multifamily rental housing. ADOH routinely seeks public input as a part of its QAP in order to more adequately address affordable housing needs for the lowest incomes. The QAP is a tool advocates can use to influence how Arizona's share of annual low income housing credits is allocated to affordable housing properties. Advocates such as yourself can use the public hearings and comment periods to convince the Arizona Department of Housing to better target tax credits to properties that house people with extremely low incomes, local projects in priority areas, and preserve the existing stock of affordable housing. Your participation on this call guides the formal input of the Arizona Housing Coalition and our over 200 organizational members, all working to end homelessness and provide safe, affordable homes to all Arizonans.
This strategizing conference call is open to members ONLY. We also happily welcome new voices and new members. Click here to join today!
