volunteer opportunities

We at the Arizona Housing Coalition are often asked how individuals and teams can make a difference through volunteering, and there are number of different ways.

VOLUNTEER WITH THE COALITION

VOLUNTEER WITH A COALITION MEMBER

It goes without saying that the best thing you can give of is your time. Get to know those experiencing homelessness, and the obstacles they face, by volunteering at any of our Member Agencies. by checking out their websites and finding opportunities of interest to you in your local area!

VOLUNTEER AT A STANDDOWN

Make an impact in your local community by joining with our Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance to volunteer at an upcoming StandDown in your area, including the nation's largest event of it's kind, the Maricopa County StandDown. These events are open to all U.S. military veterans and their families in need of assistance.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

VOLUNTEER FOR THE ANNUAL PIT COUNT

Help Arizona's local governments and service providers better understand how many individuals and families are experiencing homelessness in our communities in order to be better equipped to meet their needs.

The Point-In-Time (PIT) Count is a one-night street count to determine the number of people experiencing homelessness in Arizona during a given point-in-time. The count includes a brief survey to identify some characteristics of people experiencing homelessness in the community.

Project Connects are 1-2 day events meant to increase access to services and resources for those at risk of or already experiencing homelessness by providing a single location to access local service providers, government agencies, and other community resources. These events are meant to engage the community in finding sustainable connections and solutions to combat poverty and the root causes of homelessness.
