Arizona Housing Coalition Awards Grants to 55 Organizations in 2023

Thanks to the provision of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding from the Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH), the Arizona Housing Coalition is pleased to announce that 55 organizations have received grant funding under four grant opportunities awarded in 2023.

Ten Arizona housing programs and homeless service providers have been awarded funding through From Crowd to Home Grants. The following service providers were selected in Spring 2023 to receive these grants totaling $4,790,340 to address homelessness:

  • Flagstaff Shelter Services (Flagstaff)
  • Native American Connections (Phoenix)
  • City of Tucson (Tucson)
  • Sojourner Center (Phoenix)
  • Rehoboth Community Development Corporation (Glendale)
  • Bisbee Coalition for the Homeless (Bisbee)
  • St. Vincent de Paul (Phoenix)
  • Pima County (Tucson)
  • Coalition for Compassion and Justice (Prescott)
  • Family Promise of Greater Phoenix (Scottsdale)

Forty-five Arizona housing programs and homeless service providers were awarded a total of $4,200,000 in funding through its Nonprofit Capacity Building Grants and High Impact Rural Solutions Grants in the Fall of 2023.

The following 22 service providers were selected to receive a total of $220,000 to support capacity building efforts in 2024:

  • Homeward Bound (Phoenix)
  • Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona (Flagstaff)
  • Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (Phoenix)
  • Maricopa Association of Governments (Phoenix)
  • Mesa United Way (Mesa)
  • Old Pueblo Community Services (Tucson)
  • Phoenix Rescue Mission (Phoenix)
  • Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens (Casa Grande)
  • Prescott Area Shelter Services (Prescott)
  • Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (Tucson)
  • Save the Family Foundation of Arizona (Mesa)
  • St. Luke’s Home Tucson (Tucson)
  • U.S. VETS (Phoenix)
  • Wholistic Transformation Tucson (Tucson)
  • Youth On Their Own (Tucson)
Additionally, 18 nonprofit organizations were awarded funding to support pilot projects, program expansion, and larger scale capacity building efforts under the Innovations for Impact Grants. Awards total $2,493,248 and include:

  • United Way of Sierra Vista and Cochise County (Sierra Vista)
  • Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (Phoenix)
  • U.S. VETS (Prescott)
  • Arizona Housing, Inc. (Phoenix)
  • Circle the City (Phoenix)
  • The Primavera Foundation (Tucson)
Lastly, five rural Arizona nonprofit organizations received funding under the High Impact Rural Solutions Grants. Grants totaling $1,486,752 have been awarded to the following organizations addressing homelessness and housing instability in rural Arizona:
